and here's a horror story: this actually happened to a guy i know.
he kept his chips, and like an idiot he left them on the dresser in his room when he went to get breakfast. the maid assumed it was a tip. bye bye winnings. he thought the maid stole them. he threw a fit at the front desk. he didnt get anything back.
i always cash in my chips as soon as i walk away from the table. its just an old habit that i taught myself to always know where im at with my bankroll and my winnings vs. my losses.
