I think it's time to make the move, Neil. It's reached the point now that just to look at yesterday's posts you have to go back a few pages. |

Im no computer expert Neil but its easier to review the archives of the room in other formats I've seen, some really valuble pearls here in the last couple of months but finding them is difficult the way the set up is now. I like a brawl as good as anyone but I'm with Zebra on this one, a little embarrassed about todays behavior. Mr Thomason and Mr Renzey didn't find this board by accident, it doesent take long when you are trying to find something to help you become a strong player to find this venue, so its got a reputation to uphold and I'd like to see it stay that way, so maybe isolating the flame thrower battles so folks who selectively want to see the wrestling match is a good idea. |

Months ago, I asked visitors of this board if they wanted the forum software to be upgraded to use a standard forum interface. The response was mixed, but most people expressed that they liked the simple and immediate (no log on) system here. However, now that the board has gotten so much bigger, I am throwing the question out to you again. One advantages of software that organizes messages into threads is that visitors can get into brawls and not annoy the others as much. I too would hate to see some of the new esteemed visitors get put off. I can put together a list of software packages to choose from, with links to demos, so that I can get all your feedback. Sound good? |

Ted, nobody answered your original question. Things got sidetracked into another bar room brawl. The six "great" players will probably say, like Fred Renzey will tell you, that the 7th player's moves have absolutely no effect on your outcome in the long run. They'll help sometimes, and they'll hurt sometimes. It's just human nature for most of us to remember only the times that the dumb player's moves messed us up. |

Zebra's right. Why should Fred Renzey and Walter Thomason hang around with stuff like this going on here? |

our board has deteriorated somewhat today. almost nothing here related to blackjack. it would be a miracle if we haven't scared our valued professionals off the board entirely. i will certainly find something else to do with my time if this keeps up. and though i'm not the greatest bj player, i'm part of the discussion and have a few nuggets to offer. and the board gets weaker when any of us drop out. sld; bug; mondello; zipper -- please mellow out and at least keep the discussion focused if you can't keep it positive. |

Most places allow DAS (see the rules database at customstrategycards.com) so that means in most places splitting 4's vs 5 or 6 is the right move. I always do it and if I get ignorant comments from the table I usually prove them wrong. But even if I win they still act like I was just a lucky loose cannon. Gotta love 'em. When you walk away a winner, it's THEIR money you're taking, not the casino's. |

To whoever asked: Paulie Walnuts is one of Tony Soprano's enforcers. Silvery slicked-back hair. There was a Sopranos episode involving casino blackjack. Tony's gang met with someone called "Chief" from Connecticut because they needed his influence with a tribe in New Jersey. Chief invites Tony and gang to his casino (filmed at Mohegan Sun). Chief is dressed in business suit, looks like a Harvard MBA-type, totally Caucasian. Tony says "Chief, if ya don't mind me askin', ya don't exactly look like, you know..." Chief: "You're right Tony. I'm 1/32nd native American through my great-great grandmother." Tony: "And you discovered this when Indian casinos were legalized, right?" |

zebra pump stocks are easy to find.research this two and tell me what you saw recently.GPMT and WGFL. they are worthless in long run but day traders like me ride and dump them.remember 50000 share and it moves a penny up is 500.00 |

the small advantage of counting seems boring and tedious, to much like work and thats why I retired. the real money is at day trading in the stock market it is more predictable as to which worthless stock is being pumped and dumped. In three days bought 50000 shares at.02 and was up over .07 today.Do the math will probably dump early next week as it may have a little more upside before the dump. |

okohiored -- i accept your thinking on using proper strategy while using martingale. will now have to evaluate whether or not i have the nerve or bankroll to use it. could be that it's time to go full-scale into learning the hi-lo -- renzey's post (several back) compels me to learn to count if i truly want to get into the elite class of bj players. |
