Frank: you posted your message right as we are moving to a new message board system. I hate to ask this, but do you mind signing up on the new system and re-posting your message there? |

Hi everyone. This is my first time looking at or posting to this board. I've been playing a free blackjack game at the web site www.blackjackcenter.com for the last week or so. Using a combination of the basic strategy that can be read on that web site and an odds-based strategy of my own I have "won" an imaginary $60,000 over the last 2 days. Sounds pretty hard to believe but it's true. Anyway, I'm wondering if this free on-line game is like real--as in playing for money--on-line blackjack games. Can anyone tell me? Also, if anyone has experience playing Blackjack in a Las Vegas or Atlantic City casino, is it against the rules to keep a note pad and record won and lost hands while playing. It's not card counting, just keeping track of how many hands are won or lost. I know this a lot to ask. Thanks in advance for any info. Thanks! |

crakers: ICQ is a chat program like AOL Instant Messenger or MS Messenger. I could delete that line, but some might want to have it in their profile. okohiored: I added a note on the registration page that indicates that the profile info section can be ignored. What part is giving you problems. |

Neil the present way to sign on is fine. Why the change anyway ? If it is just idiots we can ignore them.Do you have any objection to other games other than BJ for instance Holdem which I have a current interest or do want to keep it BJ ? |

okohiored: I want to make signing up on the new board as painless as possible. Should I look into stripping the sign-up page down? No ICQ questions etc... |

A few things comments about the new board: - I will be turning off the ability to post to this board some time tonight.
- This board will stay here for reference, but eventually I will write code that will load messages from this one into the new one, organizing the messages by user, and making them searchable.
- In a few weeks, there will be an election for two moderators, users with extra privileges who can, say, delete messages that are spam or illicit

As I promised: ace-five.com, ace-ten.com (this one has a program that allows you to run simulations and compare different betting sytem outcomes from up to 500 hands of play) www.goodcasinos.net/GameMasterClassics1.html (this link takes you to lesson one, if you scroll down, you will see lessons 1-19. It teaches you how to count -high,low- and when to deviate from basic and how.), www.customstrategycards.com/rules_lvs_D.htm (gives rules of BJ games in most casinos in U.S.) BJmath.com.
Interesting info I saved from this board that has dropped off: chances of 5 losses in a row-1 in 38 hands. 6 losses in a row- 1 in 81. 7 losses- 1 in 168. 8 losses- 1 in 356. 9 losses- 1 in 713. 10 losses- 1 in 1666. 11 losses- 1 in 3332.
Dahl's progression: x,x, 1.5x, 1.5x, 3x, 3x, 5x, 5x,7x, 7x, 10x, 10x. for someone new to progression betting: www.blackjack-game.net/blackjack_betting_system.html (shows prog.2, prog.5 and martingale)
007 from our own SLD- x,x,2x,2x,3x,3x,4x,4x, and back to x
one of my favorites: count A's and 10's up to two decks from a 6 deck shoe, if notice two decks gone by, and count is 36, rest of shoe is in your favor, if 42 or higher at 2 decks, odds with the house, you have a decision to make. Thanks Renzey for that one
I know I've left out some good info- Can we keep our collective knowledge on an accessible page somewhere for reference, if not right here? |

Jedi - Good point. We do seem to have some of the same questions repeatedly. |

Whats up board. I've been a long time reader of this board for the educational purposes. very Seldom poster. But I have a suggestion- Neil is beginning a new message board but leaving this one up for reference, I'd like to post the good information I saved and learned from this board since I consistantly see the same questions come up, and our experts here have to repeat themselves. Why not have a message board of reference, so that when newcomers have questions that we've already answered, we can refer them to a separate board here- I guess this one if Neil is going to "keep it up for reference". If we all post the info we know- websites, progressions, counting tips and strategies, or whatever- it can be used in the future.
My next post will have all the info I've picked up: |

It seems am completely lost on the new forum as to how to registerstarting with ICQ addresses etc. What was wrong with existing format as I found it to be perfect for my use.Sometimes better mousetraps make things more complicated for us computer dummies. |

Sorry, I guess I shold have looked it before I posted. I knew it was back to 2 after a loss, but I just didn't think you stayed with 2-2-2 when you hit L-L-L, etc. Yep, should have looked it up. |

Midnite - I believe JC and Bug are correct on that 212345 progression. At least that is how it was sent to me years ago...starting bet is two units. |
