tom great website neil! I was reading thru the msg board and noticed someone asking about hitting soft-18 vs. 3-6, ie. when you have 3+ cards and can't double. The strategy seems to say don't hit if you can't double(according to the strategy engine on blackjackinfo.com), for 6-deck and dlr stands on soft-17. This seems to be the ONLY difference between the 2-card strategy and 3-card strategy. Any way you can incorporate this in your trainer? 2002-11-07 18:32:18
Will I'm not a card player but I have an assignment for my advanced visual basic class. I'm supposed to create a black jack game based on the logic of hi-low. I'm not sure what hi-low means is it just regular black jack? Well if someone could point me to a website or give me some basic understanding of how to play hi-low. I would much appreciate it. 2002-11-07 09:31:42
Gato Hi Neil. IMHO there is no need for a different format in this forum, it´s fresh, it´s just cool as it is. May Birjam -the asian god of game- let the crew here grow as it has in BJ21.com, then a change would be a must. But in the meantime we are a friendly, well adjusted little family. As for the counting thing I agree with MidNite. I personnaly use the KO rookie and practice three times a week with a real deck, dealing me or my my bro. Need no more. Finnaly, to ElementX: Some posters at BJ21.com refer from time to time to the form teams issue. I kindly suggest you check it up. Best regards to all of you from Mexico City. 2002-11-06 17:31:11
Midnite Neil, I doubt the counting thing would be a good idea. This site is to help the newer players learn basic strstegy. With the count you go against basic strategy, many times. How would you handle that ? A buzzer for the right basic strategy play or the right play based on the count ? 2002-11-06 00:42:06
cj This message is for Mr . I worked as a blackjack dealer for 5 years. The casinos don't cheat they don't have to. The reason casinos win is because players always give the money back. 2002-11-05 21:12:14
Rod Stewart I don't know whether to believe . or not, but regardless, it would be interesting to learn to count. One way to add that feature to the program would be to have a window after finishing a round (like the one that pops up after scoring 100%) that just tells you the count as determined by the HI/LO system. If you wanted, you could add the results of other systems as well, but just having the one would be awesome. 2002-11-05 12:09:18
ElementX Hey everyone- does anyone know any web sites or message forums where blackjack players try to recruit other players to form teams? 2002-11-04 19:58:31
pointer Check out BestJackpots.com, interesting site with jackpots and alot more from all the casinos. 2002-11-04 10:34:54
Midnite All more players at the table do is, slow down the number of hands you will be dealt per session. 2002-11-04 04:04:17
andy russell I have a bankroll of $1,000.00 I play blackjack at a $10.00 minimum, two deck shoe table. I have sucess at this table most of the time. BUt when there are four or more people playing with me I never win and usually stop playing right away. Is there something about why i win if it is me and maybe 1 or 2 others, compared to me with 3 or 4 others.? 2002-11-04 00:04:05
. Do not believe what you hear about card counting. It is a lie! The authors of these books know that you can not make a living playing blackjack! That is why they’re in the business of selling Blackjack books instead of making their living from playing Blackjack. Casinos all across the United States cheat! The authors of card counting books know this! These systems have no long term advantage against real world casinos! Do not believe anyone who tells you otherwise! 2002-11-03 11:59:04
vito Neil....thanks for the reply about possibly adding a "check your card counting" window. I for one would appreciate such a window so that I could check my count accuracy after each run. The posting of the Hi-Low count results would work for me. It would allow me to check my progress. Thanks for the consideration. Also....in response to whether or not it would be a good idea to install what you refer to as a "Real" message board with such things as thread features, msg sign ins, etc - My "vote" is yes for the updated features. I would enjoy the thread feature as well as a Search tool. When I first discovered your site it was fun reading the posts and figuring out the sequence system which is pretty much starting at the bottom and reading up. But as more and more messages are posted to the board I can see where an updated Message Board would add clarity as well as research efficency. For me, it would allow me easier access to the valuable contributions and questions posted on this forum. 2002-11-03 02:59:35
Mike Hey Neil, I like how simple and easy to read the posts, here, the way it is.. :) 2002-11-02 22:09:36
Neil Hey everybody. I know I haven't been posting to the board recently, but I am happy to see that it has been getting busy over the last few months. Here is a question: Should I install a REAL message board, one where you sign-in to post and there are message threads etc, or should I just keep it the way it is? 2002-11-02 16:25:12
