jowood london player...where can i find a casino to play blackjack in LONDON, UK. im here studying for a few months but cant find any casinos like there are in the u.s. where can i go to play? 2002-10-15 08:27:16
Midnite Jeffrey. typo, should read Solitaire or Free Cell. The point is, you do Not always stand if the dealer has a 6 or below. You may hit, split, or double down. The messaging system (as you call it) is not faulty, your play is. 2002-10-14 11:26:31
Midnite Jeffrey (1) Turn off the caps (2) read Rules & Strategy (3) Understand !!, Rules & Strategy. (4) If you choose Not to, then you may as well play Solitaire or Fell Cell. 2002-10-14 11:18:57
JEFFREY BUEHRING YOUR MESSAGING SYSTEM IS FAULTY I KEEP GETTING A MESSAGE TO ALWAYS STAND IF THE DEALER HAS 6 OR BELOW AND HOPE THEY BUST THIS CAUSED MY INCORRECT COUNT TO CLIMB I HIT ANY WAY AND ALWAYS WON CHECK YOUR PROGRAMMING 2002-10-14 10:54:04
london player first timer, the best time to play is when they are quiet.if you want to win don't go on friday or saturday evenings. 2002-10-10 12:56:20
first timer when is the best time to play at a casino 2002-10-10 07:04:36
Bjsharky Trop Guy, I meant single deck hitting on soft 17 and two decks standing on soft 17. I play only those two games. Well, I am not quite sure what the theory says about that, but I noticed that your winnings come from proper bankroll management, not how many rounds your've won. Basic Strategy doens't give you that advantage, but it's still the BIBLE how to play. I've found counting Hi-Low fascinating simply because of that reason. You know when and how much to put on the table. When the count is high and obviously you're playing for more than usual bet, don't get frustrated if you lose. Also don't get angry if you lose 5-6 times in a row. It happens, because it's not a fortune telling technique, just pure Maths. Good luck to anyone!!! 2002-10-07 10:53:51
Mike Hi-Low system expalined pretty well @ http://www.blackjackwinner.com/blackjack_learn4.html 2002-10-03 17:04:16
Trop Guy BJShark, Whats up with hi-low? Is it just hitting 17 when playing w/ 1 deck or is there more to it? 2002-10-03 16:18:00
london player another thing that you should do is try to play on a table where it is just you against the dealer, also you don't need to be able to count cards using good money management is normaly just as effective.i also have a little story for you,i was in a uk casino last week when the dealer told me that they had a player playing blackjack when he got out his notebook and started writing down a list of all of the cards that had left the pack, they didn't throw him out they just told him it wasn't allowed 2002-10-03 11:07:06
Midnite Don't get me wrong. The FIRST thing you do need to learn is basic strategy and this site is Great for that. There is just more to the game, than that. Luck-2-U Midnite 2002-10-03 04:53:21
BJshark Midnite is right. BS (Basic Strategy) will not do it. I noticed when I first started playing with BS, I was winning, but in a couple of months I lost almost everyting. Then learned HI-Low (single deck with hitting 17 and two decks standing on 17) . I wanted my money back ..BADLY! and It really worked, but before hitting any casino I had a goooood training (250 days with 4 hours each day). My expectations were not that high anyway (since i got burned), but it paid off. 2002-10-03 00:40:39
Trop Guy Well, let me put it to you this way Midnite: BlackJack table appearances in the last 30 days for me = about 15, all which I lost at. Craps table appearances for me = 20 in which 19 I WON and 1 time I lost. I think I'm on to something. Don't get me wrong Midnite, I love the game of Blackjack, but I don't think these odds have ever really panned out for me in the 15 or so years I have been playing in the casinos. 2002-10-02 00:18:12
Midnite I think you have that backwards, Trop Guy. Blackjack is beatable, craps is not. The fact that you won while playing craps and lost with BJ, has nothing to do with it. Craps is one of the better games to play, with its low house edge, BUT it is still a negitive expectation game. Basic startegy alone, will not "get it done". 2002-10-01 16:41:32
Trop Guy Wow, it's been awhile since I"ve been on this site. Anyway, I've been in Atlantic City A LOT lately, thats why I haven't been here. I've pretty much given up on Black Jack after getting completely slaughtered on the tables in AC (yes I have been playing basic stragedy). I cleaned up on the craps tables very consistantly. I found myself making up my losses from BJ on the craps tables. What a great game!! I still like black jack but I will now only play for the fun of it and not to try to make money since I have been finding out thats impossible. My advise..... Learn the game of craps! 2002-09-30 23:39:11
