Jacksonville Midnite Gambler, where can I find a site that is really in depth on percentages and even goes as far as to explain how they went about getting the percentages. Also I’d like to find a site that shows how the percentages change and how to alter basic strategy when the deck is rich in high cards or low in high cards. If you have any such information, or if anyone reading this does I would appreciate a reply. Thanks, Mitchell 2003-01-14 01:15:57
Mike Jacksonville has an excellent request, that would really be some, hot marketable, program. I wish I knew how to write code.. :) 2003-01-13 17:30:37
Jacksonville I really like the trainer as it has helped me tremendously in mastering basic blackjack strategy. That being said, I would like to know if it is possible that we could have a trainer built that would incorporate the hi/lo card counting method so that I could also master counting cards while learning how to adjust my basic strategy and betting accordingly. 2003-01-13 12:54:16
Midnite Gambler new guy-If you hit 12 vs 12, you can expect to win 37 decisions and lose 63 decisions. If you stand on 12 vs 12 you can expect to win 35 decisions and lose 65 decisions. = +4 Hitting 12 vs 13 is a closer call. Hit / win 38 lose 6. Stand / win 37 lose 63. = +2 These of course are "averages", but should help you understand why you hit. By hitting a 12 or 13 vs the dealers 12, you will win more, " by losing less". 2003-01-13 12:50:57
london player new guy;just keep on practising and you will pick it up in the end.it takes quite a long time to learn but once you have mastered perfect basic strategy you will then see how bad 99% of the players really do play.good luck. 2003-01-13 10:49:28
new guy im still confused, according to the stategy charts on this site, when the dealer is showing 3, i hit my 12, but stand on my 13. one card could bust me either way. why hit my 12 and risk it if im planning for him to bust anyway? thanks for you responces. 2003-01-13 08:54:03
Tampa whoops london's rigth only hit your hard 12 vs dealer's 12 or 13. 2003-01-12 06:41:56
london player tampa;i think you will find that you hit your 12 against a dealers 12 or 13 and not your 12 and 13 against a dealers 12 2003-01-11 12:08:24
Tampa new guy you hit your hard 12 or 13 versus ONLY a dealer's 2 because 2 is a dangerous card for dealer. too easy for dealer to make a hand without busting 2003-01-11 10:51:46
Mike New Guy, you only hit(when the dealer is showing a six) 2-8 and double 9-11, and stand on 12-21 make sense? 2003-01-10 17:58:16
new guy forgive me if this question is stupid as im just learning the game.if the dealers up card is a 6 or lower, why should i hit a hard 12 but stand on a hard 13. am i not simply hoping he busts either way? why is the 13 more advantagous? 2003-01-10 12:57:44
london player nine 11; i also believe you that you can't earn a living counting cards.there are two very important factors in playing blackjack 1 is playing perfect strategy and 2 which is even more important is knowing when to walk away when you are winning. if you go into a casino set yourself a limit on how much you want to win and how much you are prepared to lose, and don't set your goals too high.good luck. 2003-01-09 10:58:38
Nom I am currently honing my game with software from Deepnet Technologies. Namely Blackjack Counter (www.DeepnetTech.com). Just curious who else out there is using this program and your thoughts on it. 2003-01-09 10:30:39
dmac you fools do you have anything better to be doing than playing blackjack and then arguing about the rules after!!!!1 2003-01-08 02:39:34
nine11 Do not believe what you hear about card counting. It is a lie! The authors of these books know that you can not make a living playing blackjack! That is why they’re in the business of selling Blackjack books instead of making their living from playing Blackjack. Casinos all across the United States cheat! Regardless of single or multiple deck! The authors of card counting books know this! These systems have no long term advantage against real world casinos! Do not believe anyone who tells you otherwise! 2003-01-07 16:23:07
ladylaw What is the deal about there being no rule regarding hitting on a 12 when the dealer shows 2 or 3? Read the table? If I knew how to do that, I wouldn't be using this website! 2003-01-07 14:33:33
tony tampa DP basic strategy doesn't change whether you have 2 or 3 cards (assuming you are not a card counter) so if you get 3,4,5 or 3.4.6 vs. dealers 12 hit it less sure on certain soft hands since double down option not available with 3 cards but I assume if you would dd you would hit 2003-01-07 05:32:04
