If you have a soft 18 with a combination of 3 cards (assuming that your not counting cards and just playing basic strategy) I would suggest that you hit 3 - 6. If you are counting cards then hit accordingly, in an extremely high count I'd stand on everything, no need to waste a ten and wind up with the same hand, leave it for the dealer to bust with.. In a low count I would take the hit, an extra card will more than likely give you a better hand.
- As far as paying $1100 bucks for a Blackjack course I suggest that you take $100 of that and buy some books, then take the other grand and play. The only thing you're gonna learn in a $1100 dollar blackjack course is that you got ripped off.
The only strategies that win have been around for years and are readily available in many books for around $15 bucks each.. |

You can't double with 3 or more cards.
say you are dealt 2,5 and then an ace soft 18
it does say to stand 2,7,8 and hit 9,10,A
but what about 3-6 now? |

This is an odd message board, it's tough to have a discussion since none of the posts are grouped under thier own topic. |

Iggy: I did. Chris: You can find out the correct move for each card combination by looking at the Rules and Strategy page. |

Splitting 8's is a defensive move.
You will lose less by splitting them. |

I have another question about a pair of 8's: in a game permitting surrender the basic strategy calls for surrendering a 16 hand vs. dealer 9,10, or Ace ... basic strategy also says always split 8,8 ... so which takes precedence, surrendering or splitting? |

The always split on a pair of 8's have bothered me. If the dealer is showing a 9, 10 or Ace you would now have 2 inferior hands vs the one if you would have just hit your 16. Other strategy books say to just hit in these cases yet this software counts it as a wrong answer. Any thoughts on this?? |

I think i get it, you hit if you have 12 and the dealers got 2, but you double if you got 9, 10 , 11. ....or if you got 12 and the dealer has 3???? |

It makes me mad when I have 12, and the dealer has 2 or 3, cause If i stand then it says this is a rare case blah blah..and if i double sometimes it tells me, onyl concider doubling if 9 10 or 11 or soft ace...what is with this, It has to be one way or the other, I keep getting 96 % and dont like it. Other than that this is an awsome site, ans I have been playing it for about 3 days now, It is very help full. |
