Mr I don't wanna hurt the dealers feelings so I always let them win 2003-04-28 05:59:39
mikko .wrote it wrong..I meant when the dealer shows 2, and i have 12.. sorry 2003-04-28 03:56:25
london player has anyone seen this site WWW.PREMIER-RINGTONES.COM 2003-04-27 05:10:53
Hunter More on the strategy of never busting. My simulation results show that blackjack is very close to an even up game if following what people call basic strategy. Following a strategy of "Never Busting", my data showed one of the worst results - 6.14% against the player. So one would be exchanging dollar bills for 94 cents essentially on the average each hand. 2003-04-26 21:46:20
Hunter Not sure I really follow mikko's question, since it seems to involve the dealer having a 12 showing. I would guess that he must mean a two. Anyway, the reason why he hit a 12 count versus a dealer's 2 or 3 (or versus a dealers 7,8,9,10 or ace) is that the is the play that has the best chance of winning. Blackjack has been simulated many times. I have simulated it also for billions of hands. One simply wins more when they hit a 12 versus a dealers 2 or 3. 2003-04-26 21:38:18
Kevco Custer. Were you wearing your Arrow shirt at the time? When this happens to me I leave and go to the rock-paper-scissors or pick a number between one and ten table. Hope this helps. Good luck. 2003-04-26 11:19:44
custer Then I tipped her 100.00 and she kicked me in the nuts and I went home 2003-04-26 09:56:28
Custer I was @ Sycuan Casino In San Diego and the dealer dealt herself 35 Blackjacks in a row and then I was dealt 35 16's in a row and drew a jack every time. 2003-04-26 09:54:02
Midnite mikko-Playing the "stiffs" the right way, is very important. A stiff is any hand from 12 to 16. You will always lose more of them, than you will win. The key is to win More, by losing Less. In the case of 12, when the dealer has a 2 up. If you stand you will win 35 times and lose 65 times per 100 hands. (on average) If you hit, you will win 37 and lose 63. Hope this helps. 2003-04-25 11:23:47
mikko Nice to see that here´s a lot of discussion about basic strategy, but to be honest,I don´t quite get it. The game argues that I made a mistake to stand at 12 when dealer got 12 too. What´s the point of this? My strategy is to wait that dealer busts... Ok I´m a beginner but still. 2003-04-25 08:52:39
Marko Bagger: If you flip a dime you have fifty fifty odds. If you flip that dime 5 times and there all heads. The odds of flipping another head is still fifty fifty. To say the odds of winning two in a row are against you is wrong the luck of the cards shifts back and forth. If you get A winning streak bet more to win not double your losses. 2003-04-24 22:20:41
Midnite The bagger- Ron T gave you good advice. You are beating a dead horse. You Will lose, more than you win, with your method. As a young guy, I am sure you will have to find this out for your self. Short term, you can win In Spite Of What You Do. Long term you can only win, BECAUSE of what you do.... You will have many small wins, only to be wiped out, by the inevitable losing streaks. Buy the seventh bet, you are putting up $320 (if they will let you bet that much) and all you can WIN, is FIVE DOLLARS. I hope you can see, this is just Not smart betting. 2003-04-24 21:34:07
the bagger yes it does make sence to me. I have allready taken 100 to the casino and doubled it. That 100 was casino bucks anyway (past winnings). When playing betting system when i start i bet 5, when i loose that five i return to a 5 dollar bet. you had mistaken that in your post ron. My bankroll ($200) will allow me to loose 6 times. If i get to a bank roll of $320. I will be able to loose 7 times. The only thing with the positive progression or raising your bet that doesnt make logical sence. If you know anything about odds, proability your chance of winning is worse after you win. thus the more hands you play the more you will lose if you just play a $5 dollar bet. I dont want to be mean but i came here for advice and i fell like i am giving it. 2003-04-24 18:42:40
Ron T The Bagger, 1st 3 cheers for the Pit Boss telling you to "watch out" playing a "negative progression" or Martingale system. The table limits you stated were $5 minimum and $199 maximum. So if you lost your 1st bet of $5, doubled your 2nd to $10, 3rd to $20, 4th to $40, 5th to $80, 6th to $160, the table maximum bet of $199 prevents you from doubling up again to recover your losses. Losing 6 hands in a row is not uncommon. The table limit is to prevent against the double-up bettor so the double-up system is not a good one to follow. A new shoe has nothing to do with an old shoe unless your a shuffle tracker. I only increase my bets when I'm winning and I never try to recover losses by doulbling up or increasing my bet after a loss as I am not a card counter. If your a card counter, and the count goes more positive than that's a different story. Hope it makes some sense to you. 2003-04-24 13:37:35
Gus tVT: Most of the gift shops have your charts in handy card size. I have not run into any casino that will not let you use these. Advise that you stay away from the "Constant Shuffle Machines". These are money makers for the house and a money loser for you. Your best odds are downtown. You'll find more single & double shoe decks with low limit tables. On the strip, suggest NY, NY. Good Luck! 2003-04-24 11:16:05
toVegasTomorrow Leaving for Vegas tomorrow. Its actually a bachelor party of 7 people. My brother is the groom. He'll prob stand post at the Let IT Ride table. Not me! I'm trying my hand(s) at the shoe. I'm planning on studying the charts on the plane. I imagine casinos frown upon bring charts to the table. Is this true? Any suggestions for good tables/casinos? 2003-04-23 20:59:19
itonater Just back from my second trip to a casino, and I won $275, bringing my total up to $375! Basic stategy, all the way. Many other players didn't like some of my moves, but they weren't the ones winning money, were they? I also tried progressive betting this time and it certainly makes the game more interesting. Comp your dealers! 2003-04-23 15:40:38
