Trop Guy Slow Bleeder: You will find $5.00 BJ tables in Atlantic City in almost all of the casinos but only during the daytime and during the weekdays. I don't know of any consistant $5.00 tables on weekends or at night but if you go to the smaller casinos you might find 1 or 2. Good Luck! (P.S. If you really want to find consistant $5.00 and less minimum tables, take a quick jaunt to Vegas - off the strip It's where I prefer to play.) 2003-04-13 17:26:49
Trop Guy I think someone needs a valium!! HA! HA! HA! By the way, you can laugh or do what ever, all you want. If you found out who I am you would change your tune! I found out a long time ago that I wasn't placed on this planet to be liked. Keep up the good messages, your heart attack will be right around the corner! 2003-04-13 17:19:43
Slow Bleeder Thanks, pshea! I migrated to Mohegan Sun for the $5 tables. Looks like I'll be going back to Foxwoods for those $10 tables you mention. The $5 tables at Mohegan Sun always had a queue of players waiting to get on. I never understood why they didn't open up more $5 tables, much less why they took them away altogether. In the past couple of years they had changed the $5 table, first with a CS machine and then allowing two hands. Well, I suppose "Blackjack Bonanza" is "new and improved." For the casino of course. Can you tell me the hours of operation for Foxwood's $10 tables? Perhaps we'll cross paths there. 2003-04-13 10:38:41
pshea Slow - There are $10 tables at Foxwoods on weekdays in the Rainmaker, that's when and where I prefer play. 2003-04-13 09:50:18
Slow Bleeder I'm new on this board and just read through the posts about toking. For what it's worth, I'll chip in on the subject. My policy is to always tip the dealer at the end of the session if they have given good service. I tip the minimum bet if I have no profit, and a better tip depending on my success. For a five-win streak I place a minimum wage bet for the dealer on the next hand. There are exceptions. A dealer at Mohegan Sun accused my wife of altering her bet when she doubled down, and she chastised several other players in error as well. Bad attitude and a pattern of mistakes means she didn't get jack for tokes. 2003-04-13 08:06:05
kevco I was not doing very well at a casino in the Chicago area and decided to take a walk. They were having a job fair, which consisted of a 50 question math test, fractions, mult, division ect. I scored 49 correct. They offered me a job at $5.00 an hour (craps pays slightly more) and pooling tips. The supervisor said in the last 2 week period tips brought the hourly rate to about $12.00 per hour. Hope this is of some help. 2003-04-13 08:03:01
Slow Bleeder FYI: Just found out they pulled all the $5 tables at Mohegan Sun last Wednesday. Pit boss tried to convince us "Blackjack Bonanza" was the same game with a $11 minimum. You win, you only get $10. Moron. Does anyone know of $5 tables in Atlantic City? For some reason there seems to be no information available online about minimum tables for any casinos. 2003-04-13 07:46:07
Grifter Dave...Not yet. The tourney just started yesterday. I imagine he will give me a call today. I'll ask him if I can post his status. 2003-04-12 05:40:38

I AM SMART I have played Blackjack for over three hundred thousand million billion hands. I just won a hotel in Las Vegas and I want you all to come by and give the secret password and get a free suite for a year. I deal there and live off my tips. I will deal you a blackjack every hand and you will be rich like me. 2003-04-11 04:01:01
Trop Guy BRBG: You see just like I told you. This is no place for you. And as far as 007, I don't even know him so watch your assumptions. One more thing before I end your nonsense; I wouldn't read that far back into your garbage, it's not worth my time, and I don't need to get the last word in because I am way more confident then you will ever think of being. Go ahead and take your cheap shots now. 2003-04-10 18:59:48

Grifter Gus et al...WARNING, THIS WILL BE LONG. Since I know my buddy Midnite would respond to this and he is gone I will post (by the way, we both won a little yesterday). I don't know if this CJ person is really a dealer or not, but it doesn't sound like it. Here are some 'facts of life' about dealing: (1) Gus, you are right and wrong....it actually depends on the individual casinos but generally speaking, 'areas' follow the same guidelines. In Vegas for example, most casinos 'pool' the tokes and divide them, BUT in many other places (my casino for example) each dealer gets his/her own tokes, no pool. I also observed this in two casinos in Laughlin over the last two days. The latter is much better for a dealer of course, because he can develop his own clientele with the 'regulars'(2) Generally, dealers make minimum wage and depend on tips for their income. (3) No 'real' dealer expects to get toked when everyone is losing (this is what makes me suspect CJ isn't really a dealer). It is a "Catch 22" situation for a dealer. You want to make money for your employer but by 'kicking everyone's butt at the table' you aren't making 'jack' in tokes). And "being nice to people" (CJ's quote) doesn't cut it....In general, it depends whether a person is losing or winning as to how much you get toked. (4) And finally (to keep this as short as possible), "toking" should be part of your playing strategy. All casinos have a 'rule of thumb' about the penetration for each game, and it is NOT precise. There are many times that when you 'toke a dealer' you will get better penetration (and he will still be within his guidelines). This happened to Midnite and I very early yesterday morning. We were playing a double deck game and playing small bets w/small tokes....but our tokes were often. I set there and watched the 'pen' go from about 60% to 70% in less than an hour. Won't work every time, but when it does it is worth it. (5) Caveat: Nothing I have said here can't be more thoroughly explained on the 'better' blackjack sites (BJ21's Green Chip for example)....., but I hope this helps a little.....Regards, Grifter 2003-04-10 13:52:10
