VP Pappy "What a shame it is that card counters get the same treatment in casinos as cheats and thiefs." 2003-02-14 15:00:11
london player the rookie; i used to play online casinos about a year ago but not any more, you will win more if you play very short sessions but over the long run i don't think that you can win by playing on them.i did play on casino-on-net for a while and they gave me a $200 bonus with which i won $10,000 and then i got too greedy by playing longer sessions and i lost it all. i wasn't just playing blackjack though, i was also playing roulette. 2003-02-13 03:11:02
the rookie hi all, i wonder if anyone of you have played blackjack in any online casinos, and how big was your payoff? have you ever had any problems with them (programming bugs, unfair cashout policies, etc). all your comments are appreciated. Wish you all luck! 2003-02-12 16:28:33
HiloNewbie I just started practing counting a few days ago after reading "Best Blackjack" and playing nearly 1000 hands. I've made $40 yesterday playing 90 mins and $100 today playing 60 mins. I'm hooked! I plan on playing single deck daily now. My question is should I add to my winnings by joining every player's club? If I were to play 2 hours at $10-50 bets how much would my points be worth? $5? Is it worth the greater attention the pit bosses will focus on me? 2003-02-12 00:38:20
Hunter london player: regarding two hands: in the US, particularly Vegas, you can play a single hand against the dealer (one on one). If you wish to play more than one, you actually often must pay for the privelege by putting twice the minimum bet on each hand. Not sure of course how many hands bigmoneymo was playing. 2003-02-11 19:42:12
london player. BIGMONEYMO;what amount are you betting per hand and do you have to play more than one hand when you are playing one on one with the dealer,in london you have to play two hands when it is just you against the dealer, how much do you aim to win per session before you take a break.ps ; i hope you don't think that i'm being too nosey 2003-02-11 08:20:24

Hunter more on 6:5 blackjack - I just got back from Vegas and do not recall seeing it at Harrahs - sorry, my mistake. Harrah's does offer Super Fun 21, which also does feature lower blackjack payout (double diamond) plus some additional allowances for surrender and double down. But Super Fun 21 again does not have as good odds as even multi-deck normal blackjack, and so I avoid that one also. 2003-02-09 21:48:51
Hunter oops - I need to strike my casino comments on 6:5 blackjack. I dont believe Harrahs and Flamingo are related. I have seen 6:5 blackjack definitely at Flamingo in Vegas and also a few more places. I was reasonably sure I also saw it at O'Sheas which I believe is associated with the Flamingo. 2003-02-09 21:36:23
Hunter An answer to bigmoneymo's question on 6:5 blackjack. 6:5 blackjack is blackjack played with a single deck, but also one in which the dealer only pays blackjacks at 6:5 instead of the normal payout which is 1.5 times your bet in addition to you keeping your original bet. So, when you have a blackjack and the dealer has not one at a $10 table you would get $12 from the dealer in addition to your original $10 instead of $15 from the dealer in addition to your starting $10. While single deck by iteself is more favorable to the player, this reducuction in blackjack payout costs the player a large disadvantage of about 1.4%. It is much better to even play a multi-deck game (about 0.5% disadvantage) than to play 6:5 blackjack. Personally, I avoid those 6:5 games completely. It seems Harrah's and their associates (Flamingo, O Shea's) among others are pushing 6:5 single deck - at least in Vegas and California. 2003-02-09 21:17:35
BIGMONEYMO WENT TO VEGAS SUPER BOWL WEEKEND. USED HIT ORSTAND STRATEGY WON $11.000 IN 3 DAYS. I LIKE TO HIT & RUN. WONT STAY AT ONE TABLE LONG. SET A GOAL ON WHAT YOU WANT TO WIN AT THAT TABLE & STOP IF YOU STAY LONG ENOUGH THRY WILL GET IT BACK. KEEP YOUR BET THE SAME YOU CAN LOWER IT BUT NEVER RAISE IT. I LIKE ONE ON ONE WITH THE DEALER IT WONT TAKE LONG TO SEE IF ITS A GOOD TABLE, IF YOU LOOSE 5 CHIPS FAST LEAVE , GOOD LUCK 2003-02-09 18:43:40
